Our Origin Story

Anthony, the Founder and Managing Director of Blueridge Advisors, grew up in Virginia near the Blue Ridge Mountains. The mountains were always in the background throughout his years as a child, and provided a constant sense of strength, beauty, and vitality in his life. Mountains also represent resilience, dedication, and rising to meet the challenges in life and in business, which is why their depiction best represents us and what we do.
 
After working as a search consultant and observing how other search firms dealt with searches and transitions for their clients, Anthony knew something needed to change. Firms often submit a rushed handful of names, then move on to the next job without advising their clients in the decision making process.
 
He founded Blueridge knowing that his clients need more than a list of names. During this difficult time of transition, clients need help connecting all the dots from a consultant and adviser who provides open, honest, direct, and straightforward guidance and recommendations, giving them the knowledge and confidence they need to make the right decision. Anthony takes the time to get to know each organization so deeply that he is able to alleviate their stress and confusion, and open up pathways to long-term solutions – and that’s the difference that sets Blueridge Advisors apart from other firms.

We meet with your team and begin the process of understanding the complexities of the organization, allowing us to become fully aware of the needs of the group. We take the time to go wide and deep, meaning we target the challenges within the organization so we can begin to formulate a comprehensive strategy to address those pain points. Through this process, we uncover the core issues and provide honest feedback without holding back, making the process straight-forward and a valuable use of time.

Your organization will be bringing on a new person to lead the entire team, with the shared goals of making a greater impact in our world, not only for today, but for many years to come. We take the task of choosing the right person to lead very seriously. We utilize our 25 years of experience within this field to uncover and address challenges in the organization, work to develop the existing team, and ultimately find a leader who will take the reins and help sustain the organization into the future.
