About The Organization
The Eviction Defense Collaborative (EDC) services over 95% of all tenants facing evictions in San Francisco as the city’s preeminent triage center for over 20 years. At its core, the EDC is the center of a collaborative relationship between city nonprofits and the San Francisco Superior Court which work together to see that all tenants facing eviction are directed to the EDC to navigate the network of services and help provide the best possible outcome. The EDC is one of the benchmark organizations looked to by the City and County of San Francisco to develop new programs to address the ongoing housing and homeless crisis in San Francisco.
The new Executive Director will work with the board to develop and commit to a long-term vision for advancing the organization and establishing the EDC as the lighthouse organization for other principalities looking to add legal protections for their communities. The Executive Director will be responsible for strategic planning, organization management, external relations and fundraising, and ensuring the EDC’s financial sustainability.
